Mainstream or not many C level exec’s are joining up in Tweetland to connect.

The Internet has always been about communication, that will never change. What we see now and will see in the future are more- some effective some not so effective- means to and end.

Yahoo groups, MySpace, Facebook and now Twitter are all social networking tools. While I never got into MySpace, on Facebook I found that I could connect with a couple thousand people around the world along with top name movie stars, best selling authors, well know marketing gurus, I have even made friends with a Billionaire. It is access in ways never made possible before.

One C level Twitter followers I have is President elect Barack Obama  CIC ( that is a high level C if you ask me) http://twitter.com/BarackObama along with some from the list on Paul’s blog.

In his post on the list of C Level Tweetters Pual Dunay at Buzzmarketingfortech along with Chris Herbert of the MarketingthatMatters blog have a list of some of the first C Level that are taking advantage of the tidal wave of communication called Twitter.

In the list of C Level’s their @twitter ID is there if you want to follow them too.

The micro blogging and social networking site Twitter.com has been running like a California  wildfire for quite some time now. I just recently signed up for it and was having  slow results.

Then everything changed. 170 in 7 days.

Last Saturday I found the Facebook group “Twitter… You Follow Me… I Follow You”  http://budurl.com/qb2j

I add the people that post to the wall and most of them have added me back.  Every couple days I put a new post up on the wall so it makes it easier for the new people joining to find me.

Only a handful of the people following me on Twitter are FB friends already and I put it out there for the new people joining this group to add me as a Facebook friend and that is happening too.

I am building two social networking lists at the same time.

Feel free to forward this blog post on to your friends that you think would like to grow their networks quickly too, because that’s how social networking works.

Gratitude

Happy Thanksgiving

And for those of you who are not celebrating this US holiday have a fun day too.

The story was told to me as true. Sitting in a large room was a number of people and one young man complained about a flat tire he had recently that caused him to be late for important meeting, to which an older man replied, were you grateful for the air in the other three?

Gratitude like most things in life is a matter of perspective and awareness. The choice is always ours.

As I look into my life and really have the perspective and awareness of all I can be grateful for I see that there is not time in the day to list it all.

To start my family, friends, health and business. The people who have taught me, the people who have made be be a better person and that includes people who I did not agree with at the time, people who put up with my ways because I know I can be a jerk. Those of you who give of your life in the service of other such as the men and women in our military, the law enforcement officers, firefighters and the people in health care. I am grateful for this nation of ours and the system of government we have, flawed as it might be that allows me to say what I what in an open forum on my blog. I get to fly these crazy little machines called powered paragliders, and that I get to take my paragliding wing and run off the top of a mountain or cliff and float on air. Statements like “I have a dream” by the late Dr. Martin Luther King because it changed a nation and broke the bonds of the past.

I am grateful I found out for me, life is best lived when I am actively being in service to others. When I take my eyes off my life and put them on the lives of others and how I can help them. How I can bring a smile to the face of others, how I can talk with them through tough days, how I can help them see their greatness.

I am grateful you took the time to read this blog post. With out you there is no me to be expressed.

If I speak out to the world and no one is there to listen how will I be heard?
