Business coaches do some consulting however consultants rarely understand or provide business coaching.

  • A consultant needs to be an expert in the chosen field.
  • Business consulting is a process of advising the client on what to do in their business and what plans to develop.
  • Consultants often times doing the work or providing reports.
  • When a consultant’s job is finished you are left with the same skill sets that required the consultant in the first place.
  • A business coach does not need to have expertise in your industry to be highly effective in coaching you and your business.

Business coaching works with the client to identify what the clients wants in and from their business.

  • Works with the client to have the client develop their action plan.
  • Coaches the client through the implementation of the plan.
  • Holds the client accountable throughout the process.
  • Coaches the client through the many obstacles ( barriers ) or interruptions to accomplishing their plan and producing extraordinary results.

Business coaching asks tough questions or facilitates difficult conversations that produce clearings and openings for extraordinary communications.

  • What is working?
  • What is not working?
  • What is missing in your business that if it were there would make a difference?
  • What’s next for you and your business?

Where does this leave you? What do you hear for yourself and your business? Are you ready to start asking yourself  tougher questions than perhaps you may have ever asked yourself before?
