Leaders in business are faced with a multitude of choices every day, every hour. How will I handle all these problem? How will we keep our employees accountable and do what we are paying them to do. How will we cover when a key employee calls in sick or out for an extended period of time? How will we manage if our sales force does not get the sales back up to support our enterprise? The sad truth is more businesses than you would ever think do not even come close to being ran like business.
Accounting, HR, marketing, sales, supplies, vendors, accounts receivable, the list goes on. With questions like, what more can I do to grow my business, how can I find balance between work and family, what happened to the fun?
Are you planing, do you have a plan?
You must erase these and all of your other struggles through good business practices. There is a solution and it is not more of the same or even less of the same. To get yourself and your business to the point where business is fun and profitable no matter what the economy is doing, to a place where all of your employees are enrolled in your vision and are 100% in agreement of your company’s mission statement you have to cease what is not working, now. Cease the business practices that are holding you back. Do you know what they are, can you see them?
The old jokes goes like this, The policeman is writing a ticket for running a stop sign and the driver says “Hey I slowed down” to which the policeman replies ” if I hit you with my club repeatedly do you want me to slow down or stop”? I know it is lame, however take a look at what is going on in your business today. Do you want what is keeping you in struggle to stop or slow down? It is your choice as the leader of your business. You make the choices every moment everyday. Stop or slow down which will it be?

Looks from a place where you cannot see your blind spots. Then together you can decide how much good business you want to infuse into your business. How much you will need to work on your business vs in your business to counter the struggle. What is required to run your business as a business.
Do you have a mission statement and does each and every one of your employees know it and stand with you in it? Is it read at each monthly company meeting? Do you have a vision statement and do your employees know it also? When was the last time you took out your business plan to see where you are on the strategic road map of your business? If it has been over two years it is time for some new planning. I am not making you wrong if this is not in place in your business all I am saying is
You will never defeat your business with more good business!
