So you want to be a Star? You can and it is not as difficult as you think.
In my quest to see just how many internet based ways you can promote yourself and your business I ran across blogtalkrodio.com. I took a look around and put it on the list of “more research needed”. Many business owners have created themselves as well known experts in their fields because of BTR.
Today while reading Jack Humphrey’s Friday Traffic report I came across the post by guest blogger Warren Carter. Warren has a great write up on BTR that you can find here.
A more knowledgeable authority
Warren states that you will be seen as someone more in the know by interviewing other people in your in your market. Birds of a feather are your peers.
This is a win-win-win. You want to be known, the people you interview want to be known and the listener will get a high quality broadcast because both of you want to bring your A game. And as you get known as a quality host people will seek you out for a chance to be on your show.
Be sure to have a set of questions worked out before hand, be familiar with your guest and what they do. Maybe even run a mock a day or two before just so you feel comfortable with your guest.
Good instructional ebooks for you. One covers the setup. The other book is about promoting your show.
Plus there is New Host training sessions every Wednesday

How to compete and WIN in the online “network game” and beat out the big companies.
In his blog post Setting up your OWN Syndication Network . Jack Humphrey lays out the beginning of a plan to get your name, business, blog, book, product, service “networked” better than Big businesses can with a seemingly endless supply of money, and you can do it with little or none. The more I read this post the more I feel, with what I have seen out there, that Jack certainly could have charged for this info in an ebook or part of a subscriptions program . Yes I feel it is that good.
Jack’s main points of his post are;
- SYOC (Syndicate Your Own Content) for Free or Very Cheaply
- Hundreds of social sites allow you to RSS your feed on your profile (hundreds who has this list???)
- Podcasting opens up new channels
- Video and audio content have their own directories.
- Syndicate your videos, start with youtube and run from there.
- Big business cannot compete with us, they can buy the traffic yet social marketing is between people not corporations and people.
- How to get started
Getting started would include twitter, twitterfeed, syndication to tunbler, pownce and hellotext.com looks to be a big opening. Along with his ning network called Social Power Linking
There you have it, a very brief overview from an in-depth report from Jack on what waits for you as you get to work so you can “Network and Grow Rich“.
Will you do me a favor? As you utilize this information from Jack, please come back here and post a comment and let me know about your success, and suggestions.
Let me remind you about the contest- free coaching from me- I have going on in the post Let’s Make a Deal Part Deux.

Marketing-Art, Science or Both?
When you look at your marketing efforts where do you find your best results? From your artistic efforts or your scientific approach? Do you hire a firm for your marketing, have inside people who take care of it for your company or do you do it all yourself?
There are many truths when it comes to marketing and one is good marketing is a mix of both art and science. Just to define what I am saying Art is the creative aspect when Science is the by the numbers approach.
There is a group of top bloggers that have the marketing of a blog down to a science and are creative to prove it. Jack Humphrey has a list of The Best Marketing Blogs Right Now that are worth looking at if you are interested in expanding your marketing mind.
So go take a look at Jack’s list and pick up thousands of $$$$$$$ worth of marketing advice.
Ask yourself,

- What is not working in my marketing?
- What’s missing?
- And what is next?
And who am I being in regards to all 4 questions?
This is where a Coach can help you. An outside view looking in.
